
A historic first in Punjab for training Electric Vehicle Technicians has been inaugurated at GCT Railway Road, Lahore — officially named *National Centre of Excellence for New Energy Vehicles, Pakistan (Luban-Mozi College)* in collaboration with UNI Services International (Pvt) Ltd., ITMC Technology Co. Ltd., and MG JW Automobile Pakistan Limited.
The launch ceremony was graced by Provincial Minister C&W Malik Shoaib Ahmed Bharth and Chinese Consul General Sun Yan, alongside Secretary Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Department Nadir Chattha and Chairman TEVTA Brig. Muhammad Sajid Khokhar, SI(M), Retd.
Addressing the ceremony, Provincial Minister said: “We are grateful to China for their cooperation in establishing this Centre of Excellence — and we hope China will continue supporting the setup of more such labs.”
Chinese Consul General Sun Yan stated: “The establishment of Luban College will be a shining example of Pak-China friendship and cooperation. This lab holds great importance in the context of CPEC. May our friendship remain strong forever and grow stronger through such initiatives.”
Addressing the ceremony, Chairman TEVTA said: “This modern lab will provide training for Electric and Hybrid Vehicle Technicians. It has been established in collaboration with Shandong Transport College, China. We are preparing EV Technicians in line with the growing demand for Electric Vehicles.”
A representative of *Shandong Transport College, China* also addressed the ceremony online. The ceremony was attended by TEVTA DGs and other officials.
