Inauguration Ceremony of Digital Silk Road Academy, GTTI Gulberg, Lahore

His Excellency Mr. Sun Yan, Consul General, People’s Republic of China, along with Mr. Nadir Chattha, Secretary Skills Development & Entrepreneurship Department (SD&ED), and Chairman TEVTA Brig. Muhammad Sajid Khokhar, SI(M), Retd., graced the inauguration ceremony of Digital Silk Road Academy at GTTI Gulberg, Lahore.

In December 2024, during the Pakistan-China TEVT Education Forum held at the Pakistan Embassy in Beijing, TEVTA Punjab signed the initial MoU with Zhejiang Technical Institute of Economics (ZTIE) and ITMC Technology Co. Ltd., laying the foundation for the establishment of this academy. Subsequently, a formal implementation agreement was signed in April 2025 between TEVTA Punjab, Zhejiang Technical Institute of Economics (ZTIE), ITMC Technology Co. Ltd., China, Zhong Lan Trading Company Private Limited, China, and UNI Services International.

The facility has been established in collaboration with these partners, with TEVTA Punjab providing the space while all renovation, civil work, and provision of equipment have been carried out by the Chinese partners.

This landmark collaboration seamlessly integrates Chinese industry and academia with Punjab TEVTA. Initially, two courses — E-Commerce and Digital Marketing — will be offered at the centre, with plans to expand further in line with the growing demands of the digital economy.

Inaugurated on 20th May 2026, the Digital Silk Road Academy stands as a shining symbol of Pakistan-China cooperation in education, industry, and technology.
