Govt Technical Training Institutes (GTTIs) mainly offers courses of 12 months (G-III level) and 24 months (G-II level). Govt. Vocational Training Institutes (GVTIs) are exclusively established for girls. The GVTIs offer courses of durations from 3 months to 24 months, specifically tailored for girls. The Apprenticeship Training Institutes (ATCs) are primarily for train of apprentices recruited in industry. These institutes also offers courses of G-III and G-II levels.

Govt Technical Training Centers (GTTCs) offers short duration courses up to 6 months. As a special cases GTTCs have also been established in different district jails of Punjab.
