Message of Minister for Industries

The development of a skilled workforce is crucial for socio-economic growth, enabling a country to progress by equipping its youth with up-to-date skills. Punjab, with its large population and extensive resources, provides a strong foundation for future growth and prosperity. The government has clear priorities to strengthen governance and make Pakistan self-sufficient in technological and skilled manpower.

P-TEVTA (Punjab Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority) has been assigned the responsibility to launch in-demand skills training to address this challenge. The efforts made by P-TEVTA towards addressing the skills gap and alleviating the serious issue of idle youth are admirable. P-TEVTA emphasizes maintaining the highest quality while imparting technical education and vocational skills.

However, there is always room for improvement, and much more needs to be done. Providing skills to the idle youth remains the foremost priority of the Punjab government. To meet the targets set by the Punjab government, it is essential to make decisions on a war-footing basis and to adopt modern trends and practices for continuous improvement in line with international standards.
